What Does Judgement Mean in the Dali Tarot?
Judgement is the call to wake up. It stands for taking stock, for forgiveness and for the moment when something from the past is closed so that you can be reborn different. In the Dali Tarot it does not speak of condemnation but of a second chance.
What Judgement Looks Like in Dalí’s Deck
On a light blue background crossed by black brushstrokes, a pale diamond-shaped form presides over the upper part of the card. In the center a butterfly opens wings of blue and black, and below, on a yellow block, small figures can be made out.
The card carries the number XX, the Hebrew letter Resh (ר) and the sign of Pisces. The butterfly, which Dalí repeats on several cards in the deck, is an ancient image of the soul and of metamorphosis: it suits an arcanum about rising transformed.

Upright, Judgement announces a before and an after. You take stock, you understand what you have lived through, and you feel it is time for a step you have been putting off. It may be a vocation, a reconciliation or a decision that closes a chapter. The card asks you to answer the call without fear of who you used to be.
